Experienced Diesel Technician
We are currently looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to keep up our level of commitment to safety and production. The successful candidate will perform truck repair and maintenance work on emergency vehicles in accordance with factory and industry standards, run diagnostics on vehicles and work closely with other team members to meet company goals. Responsibilities
- Maintain and Repair Equipment and Trucks
- Responsible for diesel engines, transmissions, brake systems, electrical trouble shooting and repairs, steering, cooling systems.
- Perform planned maintenance and inspections.
- Operate and test repaired equipment and confirm that specifications are met.
- Perform other duties as assigned by direct supervisor in a professional and efficient manner.
- Diagnose equipment for repairs through regular inspections of equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of each repair performed on vehicles
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record
- 5 years of Experience as a mechanic
- Ability to accurately read and write in English
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test
- Highschool Diploma or Equivalent
Preferred Skills
- Experience with the following:
- Diesel Engines
- Brakes – Air/Electrical
- Transmissions
- Troubleshooting electrical
- Vehicle A/C
Additional Notes
- Must supply own tools
- Must be willing to travel as needed.
- Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
